Why not digitize those marker-written price labels so that they update automatically? I'm sure many people have thought of it--San Jose-based Altierre Corp. created them. The concept has been around since the 80's and their electronic shelf labels (ESL) for a few years but I've never seen or heard of them anywhere. This could change now that they raised $52 million in venture capital to help ramp up their work force and manufacturing in anticipation of its launch.
